Sharon Nelson, councillor for the County of Grande Prairie was elected Chair of PAZA at our Annual General Meeting on April 23, 2012. Sharon is very passionate about the organization and we welcome this enthusiasm. “I campaigned in my constituancy on improvements to the environment so I am very pleased to be a part of the PAZA organization”. Sharon told members at the meeting. Sharon Nelson is a long time resident of the County.
If you share Sharon’s enthusiasm please attend one of our upcoming board meetings!
Bob Savage was one of a handful of forward thinking individuals to sit in a tiny office and dream up PAZA. Mr. Savage gave members at PAZA’s Annual General Meeting a brief summary of PAZA’s beginnings in his last act as PAZA member and director. “It took a long time to get PAZA off the ground”.
Mr. Savage served on PAZA’s board wearing many different hats from 1999. First as a government representative with the Energy Resources Conservation Board, then an industry representative and finally as a public member. Bob’s guidance will be greatly missed at the PAZA table.
Everyone at PAZA wishes Bob and Mary Jane all the best!
PAZA invites you to read through our 2011 Annual Report to the Community. This document provides a brief summary of any air quality events, how PAZA air compares to other areas in the province as well as our accomplishments. It also highlights some fantastic photography from our photo contest.
